Dr. Gayle N. Heyer was born and raised in Charleston,
SC. She matriculated through the Dorchester Two School District and
graduated from Fort Dorchester High School in 1995. Dr. Heyer earned
her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1999
with a degree in Biology. Her love for science and helping people was
an immediate indicator that her future was in the medical field. Dr.
Heyer made the decision to further her education and enter Chiropractic
School.
Dr. Heyer earned her Doctorate with honors at Sherman College
of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC in 2006. While at Sheman,
Dr. Heyer received extensive training in chiropractic X-rays and
radiology. She is licensed in both North and South Carolina. Dr. Heyer
is also trained in numerous chiropractic techniques such as Activator,
Thompson Drop, Diversified, Pierce and Impulse. She is board certified
in therapeutic modalities. Dr. Heyer continues to work on improving her
practice by attending numerous seminars on topics such as Sports Injury
and Rehabilitation, Nutrition, and Bodily Effects of Whiplash and Auto
Accident Victims.
Dr. Heyer’s love for helping people extends into the community by her
participation in health fairs at local churches, schools, and community
centers. She believes that a hands-on naturalistic approach to health
can lead to a very happy and healthy life.
In her spare time, Dr. Heyer is a huge USC fan and enjoys sports, movies and reading
